Pay Range:

$16.23-$17.50 (pay will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position) Full Time 40 Hours

Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm

GENERAL SCOPE:

Receives all food products, checks for defects, kosher status and stores effectively in a sanitary environment. Purchases items listed below. Fills orders for Daycare, all homes for cottages, 6th floor kosher kitchen, and Leo’s Deli.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION:

High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to read, write, add, subtract, communicate understandably in English and follow directions. Must be computer literate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Sanitation:

Check all coolers for outdated items. Make sure all food is labeled and dated.

Set up mop buckets, one hot soapy water/one hot rinse water.

Mop all coolers and the back hallway.

Wipe off ice cream coolers including the top of the ice cream coolers.

Wipes doors of walk-in coolers.

Cleans areas and makes room for new stock before it comes in.

Mops coolers, storeroom, and back hall area where boxes are broken down.

Receiving:

Rotate all bread by putting older bread in a position in which it will be used first.

Receives all orders and verifies with supervisor.

Examine all stock, looks for dented cans, open products and frozen goods that are not frozen.

Rotates all products as new ones are received.

Labels all new products if not already marked and dated.

Cleans milk storage area before milk arrives. Put away milk order as soon as possible.

Checks coolers and records temperatures.

Purchasing:

Purchasing of all bakery items needed for weekly catering, special events and holidays

Purchasing of all dairy items including milk, yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese, etc.

Purchasing of all paper goods for tower, catering, and Leo’s Deli

Purchasing of all ice cream from dairy.

Back fills all out of stock items and informs management of shortages.

Signs off on all received items for billing purposes.

All other job duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

Food Service experience is preferred but not essential.
