
SALAM is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing & Design Coordinator to support our community engagement efforts. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for design, social media, and storytelling who wants to make an impact through their skills.
The Coordinator will be responsible for designing flyers and promotional materials for events and programs, as well as managing SALAM’s social media presence to keep our community informed and inspired.
Responsibilities Design & Branding
Create flyers, graphics, and visual assets for SALAM programs and events.
Ensure designs align with SALAM’s brand identity and community values.
Social Media Management Plan, schedule, and publish content across SALAM’s social media platforms.
Develop engaging posts, stories, and campaigns that highlight SALAM’s events, programs, and initiatives.
Monitor community engagement and respond to comments/messages when needed.
Collaboration & Onsite
Support Work closely with the Executive Director and program teams to understand event needs.
Be present one day a week onsite to capture photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes content.
Assist with occasional event-day media coverage.
Qualifications
Strong graphic design skills (Adobe, Canva, or equivalent).
Experience managing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
Excellent written communication and storytelling abilities.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with nonprofit or community organizations is a plus.
Photography/videography skills are a plus, but not required.
