As communications manager, you are responsible for managing external and internal communications that advance HNTB’s business goals and carry out HNTB’s brand messages. You will work closely with subject matter experts to plan, develop and implement content. This role requires a person with knowledge of how best to convey messages in multiple formats and across communication channels.
What You’ll Do
Strategy Development: Develop and lead the communications strategy that aligns with HNTB’s business goals and supports HNTB’s brand messages.
Program Management: Implement programs that are part of HNTB’s strategy including working with a team to strategize HNTB’s involvement in industry associations, identifying and developing award submittals, managing HNTB’s publications, collaborating with team members to develop advertising, presentations, articles, social and web content and video.
Content Creation: Develop engaging and informative content that is consistent with brand messaging for a variety of communications channels including internal, social and web platforms.
Event Management: Support the development and logistics of various events, such as conferences, meetings, open houses, forums and other events.
Results Reporting: Track communication programs effectiveness.
List Management: Update and maintain internal and external contact lists.
Budget Management: Manage and develop communications budget for specific programs.
Market Research: Research and implement current industry trends on communication approaches.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related fields and 8 years corporate communications or agency experience.
In lieu of education, 12 years of relevant experience.

Strong interpersonal skills.
Teamwork/collaboration.
Adobe Creative Suite and SharePoint expertise.
Great interpersonal skills.
Highly organized.
Be a self‑starter who possesses creativity and can‑do attitude.
