
Customer Service Representative
Join a leading food ingredient manufacturer as a Customer Service Representative, where you'll play a crucial support role for the Customer Service Associates. This opportunity offers a pathway for career advancement within the company. Responsibilities: Assist Customer Service Representatives with updating and maintaining sales orders in the ERP system. Perform order entry and data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Generate and maintain Excel-based reports to support sales and customer service operations. Monitor and track order status, ensuring timely communication of updates or issues. Collaborate with production, logistics, and sales teams to resolve order discrepancies or delays. Support process improvements and documentation efforts within the customer service function. Provide backup support to Customer Service Representatives during peak periods or absences. Essential Skills: Proficiency in Excel. Experience in customer service within a manufacturing environment. Experience in order management, managing assigned customer accounts. Effective and timely communication skills. Ability to work as a team player, collaborating with a team of Customer Service Representatives and other departments. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Logistics knowledge. Data entry expertise. Inventory management skills. Experience in supply chain processes. Work Environment: This role requires a hybrid work schedule with on-site presence on Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Initial training will be conducted on-site, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM for 3-4 weeks. This position offers a foot in the door with opportunities for internal advancement and the ability to apply for positions outside of your area. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, IL. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
