Responsibilities
We are looking for an
Actuarial Expert
(from Associate to Director level) who is passionate about playing a critical role in transforming GUARD into a leading commercial insurer. In this fast-paced environment, your work will have a significant impact on our success. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with team members and business partners to develop and enhance our range of commercial insurance products, including business owners, general liability, and commercial property insurance.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Strategically collaborating with business partners like Claims and Product to ensure the profitable growth of our commercial business portfolio
Overseeing actuarial analyses for various commercial business products, including business owners' policies and general liability
Managing multiple projects independently while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintaining comprehensive documentation for clarity and reproducibility within the team
Conducting industry research and analyses to support actuarial projects
Effectively communicating findings and insights to colleagues and senior leadership
Training and mentoring junior team members, fostering their professional development
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
FCAS, ACAS, or near-ACAS accreditation with a minimum of five years of actuarial experience, including two years of pricing experience
Experience specifically in General Liability or Commercial Property Pricing
Strong attention to detail for reliable and accurate results
Excellent communication skills for conveying results and assumptions clearly
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
Results-driven mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
Proficiency in VBA, SQL, and Python is advantageous

Salary Range:
$120,000.00 - $190,000.00.
This position is available in New York City, Philadelphia, PA, Conshohocken, PA, or Scottsdale, AZ. The successful candidate will work in one of our offices three days a week and may need to travel as required.
The posted salary range reflects a wide spectrum across the U.S., influenced by various factors such as credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills, and training.
