Role Summary Utilize internal and external data to provide relevant insights for team members and Executives which enable an understanding of the market conditions and business development (industry and brand)
Manage the partnership with 3 rd party data vendors including internal training, budget management
Role Responsibilities 70% Analysis and Reporting Report and analyze effectiveness of financial services product offerings utilizing business applications (including Business Objects, Microsoft Excel, and Salesforce Einstein Analytics) Develop recommendations based on the data as it relates to current market challenges Design and continuously develop tools to evaluate regional KPIs. Develop professional presentation and support materials (e.g. Wholesale Dealer Acquisition, Dealer Account Reviews). Deliver scheduled reporting for critical business measurements such as loyalty, aftermarket sales, finance penetrations and competitive insights.
20% 3 rd Party Data Vendor Relationship / Data Management Work closely with 3 rd party data providers to ensure a complete understanding of the data available and how it benefits VWFS / AFS. Manage user license distribution Manage VWFS training initiatives with the Vendor to benefit internal users Ensure accurate and timely budget management / payment
5% National Sales Analysis and Reporting Support projects and programs (e.g. Wholesale Programs, Policies) impacting all four Regions.
5% Ad-Hoc Responsibilities Ad-hoc reports as required to align to Department goals and objectives.
Cross train to serve as a back-up for those roles where required tasks must be completed on specific timelines (bulletin posting, etc)
Experience 3-5 years of professional work experience 2-3 years reporting and analysis using Microsoft Excel 1-3 years using Business Objects or data analysis/querying tools 1-3 years financial services and/or Captive Automotive Finance
Required Education Bachelor’s Degree Preferably a focus in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science or Analytics
General Skills Needed Strong analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason with creative and strategic thinking Strong oral and written communications are necessary, ability to communicate with others on important, complex and non-routine issues Strong customer focus orientation Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint Computer savvy – skilled in the use of software Integration – joining people, processes or systems Influencing and negotiation skills Problem solving Resources management Assertiveness Self-starter Willingness to learn and then be able to adapt to changing priorities
