Commercial Insurance Agent (Property & Casualty) Job Details Salary: $50,000 - $80,000 per year

About the Role We are a growing independent insurance brokerage in Manchester, New Hampshire, seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Insurance Agent to join our team. This role focuses exclusively on commercial property and casualty business, working with small to mid‑sized companies across a variety of industries.

The ideal candidate is consultative, relationship-focused, and comfortable managing the full sales cycle—from prospecting and risk assessment to placement and ongoing client advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, quote, and bind new commercial P&C accounts

Manage and grow an assigned book of commercial business

Conduct risk assessments and deliver tailored insurance solutions

Negotiate coverage, pricing, and terms with carrier partners

Handle renewals, coverage reviews, endorsements, and policy changes

Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within commercial accounts

Build strong relationships with business owners, CFOs, and risk managers

Maintain compliance with NH insurance regulations and agency standards

Accurately document activity in the agency management system (AMS)

Qualifications

Active New Hampshire Property & Casualty License (required)

2+ years of commercial insurance sales or account management experience preferred

Experience in an independent agency or brokerage environment strongly preferred

Strong understanding of commercial underwriting and carrier appetite

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Self‑motivated with strong time management and organizational skills

Comfortable using AMS platforms, carrier portals, and Microsoft Office
