We are seeking an experienced
Mechanical Estimator
to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This position focuses on estimating
commercial and industrial mechanical projects , including HVAC, piping, and associated systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial mechanical projects
Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine full project scope
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems
Solicit, review, and level vendor and subcontractor pricing
Develop labor, material, and equipment cost estimates
Identify risks, constructability issues, and value engineering opportunities
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams
Assist with bid reviews, negotiations, and project handoff
Qualifications
3+ years of mechanical estimating experience (commercial/industrial required)
Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, and mechanical construction methods
Experience with estimating software and Excel (Trimble, FastPIPE, or similar preferred)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
Experience in the Phoenix or Southwest market is a plus
