University Mission Statement Trevecca Nazarene University is a Christian community providing education for leadership and service.

Position Summary The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for building a robust annual giving program focused on generating gifts of up to $10,000 from alumni, faculty, staff and the community through direct mail, partnership with University Marketing related to social media, and in conjunction with leadership of the Trevecca Alumni Association. This is a regular full-time exempt position that reports to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement.

Duties & Responsibilities

Works with the Institutional Advancement team to develop and implement an annual plan for connecting with current and prospective donors, with a special emphasis on alumni and parents. Fundraising strategies will include direct mail, social media, web, personal solicitations and assisting in events.

Conducts engagement and solicitation visits to identify and grow new annual donor base and renew existing donors at the Trevecca Society level ($1K+).

Collaborates with Alumni Association leadership to engage and grow alumni giving.

Stewards donors through letters, phone calls and personal visits.

Collaborates with the Institutional Advancement team in growing annual donors into major and planned giving supporters.

Participates in strategy formation for institutional funding priorities, including, but not limited to, capital projects, scholarships, endowments and Athletics.

Documents and tracks donor and fundraising progress in Colleague, the CRM database.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Possess a Christian testimony and strong dedication to the university’s faith-based mission.

Solid understanding of nonprofit resource development and annual giving strategies.

Highly self‑motivated to make individual visits with alumni, donors and volunteers.

Proficient computer skills, including Word and Excel, and strong analytical skills.

Proficient in using and tracking progress in donor database systems.
