Job Description The successful candidate will report to the Director of Strategy and Business Development for the Surveillance Systems Division. They will collaborate effectively with legislative, government relations, technical, and functional teams to achieve financial objectives by engaging customers, identifying business opportunities, and supporting both corporate and segment strategic growth initiatives. This position will be supporting the Agile Missions Business Area of the Surveillance Systems Division, leading multiple growth campaigns, specifically to protect and expand upon current and future space-based franchises.
Essential Function
Lead initiatives associated with all new business growth areas in the Agile Missions Business Area
Serve as a liaison to the Division growth initiatives representing Agile Missions interests
Help identify new and adjacent markets, unmet needs and opportunities for expansion of existing architectures
Allocate and recommend needed discretionary resources to achieve financial goals
Prioritize campaign engagements leveraging Senior Management participation
Support the collection of competitive intelligence and information to enhance L3Harris understanding of customers and competitors’ strategies
Work jointly with the Corporate Government Relations team on Congressional Strategic inputs
Create and foster a business acumen culture which embraces a strategic, proactive approach in supporting business area leaders with identifying, actively pursuing and closing new business
Assist capture teams in the preparation of competitive assessments and win strategy development
Play an active role in at least one government or industry board with interests relative to Agile Missions Solutions
Represent L3Harris Corporation at customer meetings, Industry related meetings and conferences
Qualifications
Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Access
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills
Understanding and familiarity with the DoW Space and Intel Space future mission architectures
Experience leading new business pursuits
Experience engaging with senior executives at government agencies, major prime contractors, and commercial companies
Former government leadership position in the US Space Force or Space Intel Community
Established contacts within the DoW Space and Intel Space Communities
Ability to lead and develop relationships with geographically dispersed people
Demonstrated ability in competitive analysis, customer analysis, win strategy development, proposal and color team leadership and price-to win analysis
Ability to Travel – up to 40%
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia - Greater Washington DC area $175,000-$325,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
