The Sr. Commercial Real Estate Analyst is responsible for assisting and analyzing the Commercial Real Estate portfolio to maximize the portfolio performance. This individual will help build strategic and cross‑functional relationships, have exceptional financial modeling skills, and use data to drive strategic decisions throughout the real‑estate life cycle. A successful Senior Commercial Real Estate Analyst will have a keen ability to interpret data, make strategic business recommendations, and understand that this role is critical to the success and growth of the Tailwind Group Commercial Real Estate Portfolio.
This is a full‑time, in‑office position working a standard schedule, Monday – Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Nights or weekends may be required from time to time dependent on business needs.
The compensation range for this position is $70,000 – $80,000 plus bonus potential. This range is determined by current market data based on the position requirements and complexities. Final offers of employment will be based on multiple factors including candidate education, skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities & Duties
Assist in initial screening of acquisition opportunities and collaborate in the acquisition process by building out business plan proformas and operational budgets.
Assist and collaborate on the due diligence process (site visits, third party reports, due diligence memorandum) and assist with final recommendation.
Assist on the transaction closing process.
Collaborate with commercial property teams and Director of Commercial Real Estate to effectively implement asset business plan and monitor on a routine basis.
Collaborate with commercial property teams on cash flow analysis and annual operating budget planning and preparation.
Support the team’s efforts to develop efficient reporting strategies including automation and simplification of reporting processes and tools.
Assist in identifying solutions and ideas when the business plan is off track.
Communicate property strategies as needed within the portfolio to the Director of Commercial Real Estate, which will cascade to the Real Estate Committee.
Monitor financial performance of the commercial portfolio and create quarterly reports to deliver to leadership and investor relations teams.
Closely monitor commercial assets for financial performance and help identify solutions if the business plan is off track.
Build and maintain detailed financial models, including base, downside, and upside opportunities.
Assist in identifying potential disposition opportunities within the portfolio.
Assist in analysis and on‑going updates of the Commercial Real Estate portfolio debt including debt maturity dates.
Assist the Capital Markets team during a recapitalization or refinance in developing offering memorandums, finalizing terms, presenting final recommendation to Real Estate Committee, and closing including organizational document review.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, or a related field.
Three to five years of experience in in‑house real estate or investment banking including investing and acquisitions.
Commercial Real Estate experience is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Advanced knowledge of commercial real estate valuation, financial modeling, and capital markets.
An interest in all thing’s commercial real estate.
An agility to adapt to changing and ambiguous situations and a general hunger for more.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with a demonstrated ability perform a quantitative and qualitive analysis of assets using financial modeling techniques.
Demonstrated ability to effectively define and resolve problems that balance multiple needs and interests.
Effective communication skills with the ability to present ideas, instructions and information effectively, both orally and in writing.
Demonstrated investment acumen and knowledge with financial statement analysis experience (e.g., balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
