Responsibilities / Position overview Vice President, Market Access Strategy is a newly created position responsible for working with the SVP Market Access Strategy and Lumanity’s Market Access team to eliminate gaps in our critical market access capabilities by creating, identifying, and executing on market access opportunities on the Market Access team. In addition, this person will work across the Lumanity Enterprise as a part of Market Access to apply their subject matter expertise in market access to existing and new engagements wherever they might reside.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Leverage subject matter expertise in market access to support life sciences clients across therapeutic areas and sites of service to deliver sound advice, consulting projects, and deliverables to both internal and external clients
Understand Market Access team strategic objectives and align activities to drive growth and deliver excellent consulting work product to internal and external clients
Develop and maintain meaningful client relationships that provide strategic thought leadership
Cultivate dialog with client stakeholders to ensure healthy relationships on projects
Drive client business objectives forward through strong advisory projects and content
Develop new consulting business opportunities in partnership with Business Development
Collaborate with Market Access Agency of Record leads to help deliver strategic content to existing clients and to new clients
Lead and inspire cross‑functional collaboration across the Lumanity Enterprise of businesses
Provide supervision, support, and guidance to others in the organization that may contribute to a project via a matrixed reporting structure
Ensure that processes and procedures are being followed consistently (e.g.: timely timesheet and expense report submission, keeping up with training,etc.)
Review project outputs with a critical eye to ensure high quality work product
Monitor project financial performance
Ability to learn about and help clients understand their business (e.g.: products and pipelines) by proactively identifying market access opportunities, changes to the competitive landscape, and industry trends
Solution‑oriented toward problem‑solving to meet internal goals and client expectations
Develop new business and grow current accounts by actively seeking new opportunities from both existing and new clients
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 7‑10+ years of experience in pricing and market access consulting firms
Pharma/biotech manufacturer experience focused on market access and/or payer background is a nice to have
Demonstrated experience and success in leadership of cross‑functional teams
High motivation, good work ethic, maturing and personal initiative
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional skills utilizing technology to enhance work output and efficiencies, particularly skills in using AI in day to day work
Fluency in Microsoft Office applications
Occasional travel may be required
