This posting is for a 1.0 FTE Executive Director of Student Achievement for the Chehalis School District for the 2026-27 school year. The position begins July 1, 2026. The position is open until filled. For best consideration, apply by March 5, 2026.

Position Summary: The Executive Director of Student Achievement serves as the district’s executive leader responsible for student outcomes and postsecondary readiness. This role provides strategic leadership for the district’s 75 by 35 goal, ensures coherence across instructional systems, and drives accountability for districtwide student achievement results leading to postsecondary credential attainment.

Key Responsibility:

Work closely with the Superintendent as a member of the District Leadership Team and building administrators

Lead development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of districtwide student achievement priorities

Translate Board and Superintendent priorities into actionable strategies

Establish and oversee achievement metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems

Monitor progress and ensure transparent reporting

Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement priorities

Supervise principals with an instructional focus

Set expectations for instructional leadership and school improvement planning

Support alignment of school practices with district goals to include career and college readiness

Ensure alignment of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning with district priorities and policy

Oversee instructional grants and categorical programs including LAP, Title programs, and Multilingual Learner services

Supervise Student Achievement Team

Oversee budgets associated with student achievement

Ensure alignment, fidelity, and impact evaluation

Coordinate with higher education, community organizations, and philanthropic partners to advance student achievement and postsecondary pathways

Provide executive oversight of the Technology Department, including instructional technology systems and district SIS, and supervise the Director of Technology to ensure alignment with student achievement, data integrity, and reporting

Serve as the district lead for multiple student centered compliance mandates

Other Job Functions:

Consistently applies board policies and administrative regulations, laws, contracts, and budget/financial accountability applicable to staff, students, and parents

Evaluates educational programs for effectiveness

Provides for public relations with the school community and ensures communication and feedback

Maintains appropriate administrative credentials. Continues professional preparation and advanced training. Holds membership in professional organizations; participates and teaches in workshops and seminars, when possible

Communicates and cooperates with other administrators to achieve district goals

Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree and appropriate and valid Washington State Administrative Credential and certification

Successful teaching or equivalent classroom/program experience

Demonstrated successful leadership and management qualities

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Working knowledge of rules, regulations, and laws dealing with public education

Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and educational program management

Minimum five years prior administrative experience preferred

Contract: Based on 260 days, to include 219 work days, 13 holidays, and 28 vacation days, with a salary range of $158,729-$176,366. Terms and conditions are established by the district administrators’ agreement.

Benefits: The District complies with State Law regarding SEBB (School Employee Benefits Board) and DRS (Washington State Department of Retirement Systems) eligibility and benefit. To be eligible, a person must work 630 hours in the school year. If eligible, SEBB benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, AD&D Insurance, Flexible Spending Arrangements (FSA), and Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP). Retirement benefits, if eligible, may include membership in TRS retirement plans in addition to voluntary Deferred Compensation Program and 403(b) Annuity enrollments. Paid time off and VEBA are also benefits outlined in the Administrator Employment Agreement.
