What is Shotgun?

Shotgun is building the operating system for underground music. We empower event organizers, venues, promoters, festivals, and artists to grow their communities, monetize their creativity, and shape culture. Our platform combines B2B tools for event creators with a consumer marketplace where 9M+ fans discover, buy tickets, and belong to something bigger than a transaction. From 2020 to 2024, we grew GMV by 20x, revenue by 30x, and reached profitability. Today we support 50,000+ clients across three continents. The US market is our largest and fastest-growing opportunity, and this role is central to capturing it. The Role

You will own Shotgun's US marketing engine across two tracks: Platform Growth (~60%):

Drive awareness, engagement, and conversion on the consumer side. Turn one-time ticket buyers into repeat Shotgun users through lifecycle marketing, content, and community.

Client Marketing (~40%):

Partner with our largest organizers to co-create data-driven marketing strategies that sell more tickets and deepen fan loyalty using Shotgun's platform.

This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership role. You are not managing a team (yet). You are the marketing function for the US with a dotted line to our global Marketing & Communications team. What you will own

Lifecycle & Retention:

Build the playbook to convert one‑time ticket buyers into repeat Shotgun users. Design email sequences, segmentation logic, and re‑engagement campaigns that move users through the funnel without alienating organizers.

Content & Community:

Own Shotgun's US content voice. Produce weekly newsletters, weekend guides, and 3-5 pieces of original content (artist spotlights, scene reports, event previews) that position Shotgun as the cultural authority in underground music.

Client Campaign Strategy:

Lead quarterly marketing planning sessions with key accounts. Provide data‑driven recommendations on audience targeting, pricing, and promotion timing using Shotgun's historical performance data.

Earned Media:

Manage PR, influencer partnerships, and press outreach. Build sponsorship and partnership collaborations within the music and nightlife ecosystem.

Performance & Reporting:

Deliver monthly reports to leadership on MAU growth, conversion rates, campaign ROI, and social reach. Use data to iterate fast and double down on what works.

What success looks like

First 30 days: Deep-dive into Shotgun, existing marketing initiatives, and US market dynamics. Shadow key account planning sessions. Audit current email, social, and content performance.

First 90 days: Launch your first lifecycle campaigns. Publish a refreshed content calendar. Present your US marketing strategy to leadership with measurable quarterly targets.

First year: Demonstrate measurable lift in MAU, buyer‑to‑repeat‑buyer conversion rate, and organizer satisfaction with co‑marketing support. Build the case for expanding the US marketing team.

What you bring

Must-haves: Based in New York City or Miami full‑time

3‑5 years in growth marketing, lifecycle marketing, or demand generation at a B2C marketplace, ticketing platform, or consumer SaaS company

Hands‑on experience with email marketing platforms, CRM segmentation, and marketing automation

Proficiency with Google Analytics/GA4, and at least one social media analytics tool

Track record of building and optimizing lifecycle campaigns that moved real metrics (conversion rates, retention, activation)

Analytical mindset. You are comfortable pulling data from multiple sources to inform strategy, and you can present performance insights to leadership clearly

Strong differentiators: Experience in music, nightlife, live events, or cultural media. You understand how these communities work and what makes fans show up

Existing relationships in the US underground music scene (venues, promoters, DJs, media) in markets like NYC, Miami, DC, LA

Experience with influencer and tastemaker marketing strategies

A portfolio of content or campaigns you have built that grew a community or brand from early stage

Comfort with SaaS product metrics (activation rates, feature adoption, churn) alongside traditional marketing KPIs
