
Overview
The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch is the core amenity to one of the most successful master planned communities in Texas, Cordillera Ranch. This 9,100 acre oasis in the Texas Hill Country is anchored by its Top 15 ranked golf course in Texas. The course is a Jack Nicklaus Signature which opened in 2006. The Club also earned the prestigious honor of "Golf Course of the Year" by the National Golf Course Owners Association in 2014. The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch is a unique facility in every right. The family atmosphere established by the members and ownership create a laid‑back culture whilst upholding the standard expectations of a high‑end facility. The Cordillera Ranch Golf staff is expected to uphold and grow this culture daily to ensure a satisfying member and staff environment. The next member of this team will be expected to:

Marc DeWall, General Manager
- Former President of the STPGA, STPGA Golf Professional of the Year, PGA Member, and original Director of Golf at Cordillera Ranch.
Kolby Oliphant, Director of Golf
- Tennessee native and graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. Most recently served at the Head Golf Professional at Paradise Valley Country Club in Arizona. Will be joining the Cordillera Ranch Team in late February.
Stu Rowland, Director of Agronomy
- History of excellence in agronomy standards, maintained high level clubs such as: The Vintage Club, La Quinta, and Madison Club, skilled player, and Texas roots.
Katie Dillard, Director of Instruction
- Former Symetra Tour player, promoted from assistant professional at Cordillera Ranch to a player development focused role, administers all instructional programming, and English roots.
Nick Madden, Head Golf Professional
- University of Central Oklahoma PGM grad with former assistant professional experience being at TPC San Antonio and Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. TPI Certified as of 2022.
Aaron Kilian‑Smith, First Assistant Golf Professional
- San Antonio born and bred. A well‑rounded golf professional who is passionate about teaching and has experience at high level golf clubs like Escondido Golf & Lake Club and Shooting Star Club in Jackson Hole. Certified in Mach 3 Speed Training.
Randall Heck, Assistant Golf Professional
- Former college golfer at Incarnate Word in San Antonio. New to the PGA Associate program with a passion to become a Head Golf Professional/Director of Golf in the future. Native of Amarillo, Texas.
Darryl Handley, Assistant Golf Professional
- Coordinates all play on the first tee and manages pace of play on the golf course. Heavily involved in Junior Programming.
Jeremy Brosh, Golf Operations Manager
- Retired SAPD detective, 2023 Cordillera Ranch Employee of the Year. Passionate about training people to provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests who come on property.

The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch Highlights Cordillera Ranch takes pride in its financial stability. The success of the Club can be shown through the consistent year‑over‑year net membership gain since inception. Even during the worst years of the recession in 2008, 2009 and 2010, the Club never lowered fees and remained financially stable. The Club also successfully retained all Golf Professionals through the COVID‑19 pandemic and the club has transitioned to thrive in the modern challenges.

Essential Responsibilities The Director of Retail duties are outlined as stated but not limited to the following:
Buying and Special Orders
Manage all buying for the Golf Shop, including special order management for members and guests
Invoicing and Inventory Management
Ensure accurate invoicing and detailed inventory records. Conducting monthly inventory of the Golf Shop
Visual Merchandising
Build and display fun and exciting displays to showcase the Golf Shop in a warm and inviting way
Event Planning
Plan and coordinate special events to engage the membership, showcasing products and vendors from the Golf Shop
Vendor Relations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor reps
Personalized Service
Active on the shop floor to help cater a warm and engaging shopping experience for members and guests
Communication & Marketing
Be proactive in communicating with members showcasing new products in the Golf Shop, special order arrivals and vendor spotlights
Golf Genius Golf Shop
Oversee the management of Golf Genius Golf Shop to give guidance on timely invoicing, communication with members and building member data
Motivated to get the Golf Shop to be an AGM Top 100 Golf Shop
