About Us The Experiential Learning Collaborative (ExLC) is a small, woman-owned consulting startup helping other small businesses and community leaders turn ideas into action through motivated college students. We scope defined projects that provide real impact for clients while giving students tangible consulting experience they can leverage for their next role.
What You’ll Work On This project will focus on designing and implementing a community engagement campaign for a local garden. The goal is to increase awareness, attract new volunteers and sponsors, and strengthen connections between the garden and local residents.
As a junior consultant, you’ll:
Research the organization’s current outreach channels and audiences
Analyze local engagement opportunities and community partnerships
Develop key messages, themes, and content ideas for outreach
Create branded materials such as flyers, post templates, and event content
Build a practical engagement toolkit and campaign calendar for ongoing use
Who You Are
Interested in community engagement, marketing, or nonprofit communications
Strong writer and creative thinker who enjoys designing campaigns that connect people
Organized and proactive with an eye for both storytelling and strategy
Comfortable using tools like Canva, Google Workspace, or social media platforms
Excited to make a visible impact on a local sustainability and education project
What You’ll Gain
Real-world consulting experience supporting a community-based organization
Portfolio-ready deliverables including campaign assets and engagement strategy
Mentorship and feedback from a business consultant
Flexible, remote work that can count toward academic credit
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours/week for 15 weeks
Start Date: Rolling (based on needs)
Compensation: $250 stipend for completed deliverables
Eligibility: Open to all majors; may be a best fit for students interested in marketing, business, communications, IT, entrepreneurship, education, or social impact
