Job Description
Answer incoming calls from consumers, prospective enrollees, and anyone assisting enrollees, following all performance standards, policies, and protocols
Respond effectively to inbound and outbound contacts
Track and document all inquiries using applicable systems
Process new applications for health‑care coverage via telephone, building tax households, determining eligibility, interpreting Marketplace determinations, and enrolling in health plans; refer consumers to appropriate entities as needed
Process life‑event changes, demographic updates, disenrollment requests, and special enrollment periods
Facilitate fulfillment of caller requests for materials via mail, email, or download
Facilitate translation services for non‑English‑speaking callers, following procedures
Escalate calls or issues to designated staff for resolution
Attend meetings and trainings, maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of all programs and systems
Respond to all inquiries in line with confidentiality and privacy policies, referring callers to alternate sources when appropriate
Meet quality assurance (QA) and key performance metrics
Adhere to established safety standards
Remain stationary for extended periods; occasionally lift, carry, or move items up to 25 pounds
Perform work in an office environment as required
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Requirements
High‑school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Six months or more of relevant professional experience (or equivalent)
Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (speaking, reading, and translating fluently)
Residency within 100 miles of New York, NY
Strong data entry and telephone skills
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform comfortably in a fast‑paced work environment and execute complex tasks simultaneously
Team player and independent worker
Experience with computers, phone systems, and headsets preferred
Previous customer service experience preferred
Home Office Requirements
Internet speed of 20 Mbps or higher (test at www.speedtest.net)
Connectivity via Wi‑Fi or Category 5/6 Ethernet cable to the home router
Permanent residence in the continental United States
