What Will You Be Doing? The User Experience (UX) Designer will lead and design the best digital experiences for our customers interacting with the Frontier Airlines brand online and in app. The ideal candidate will be well versed in responsive web design, web accessibility, Lean UX, ecommerce best practices and act as the voice of the customer with every pixel placed. Some key responsibilities include: Lead with a mobile first strategy, delivery of high‑fidelity web/app designs, wireframe prototyping, creation of user flow diagrams, and maintaining the design system.

Essential Functions

Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences

Produce high‑quality visual designs (including basic assets and wireframes/mockups) – from concept to execution, including those for desktop, web, and mobile devices at a variety of resolutions

Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks

Take a user‑centered design approach and rapidly iterate designs

Design and implement mobile responsive design guidelines, user experience guidelines, digital style guides and visual standards

Make design decisions with data and user feedback

Facilitate the company’s vision for products by researching best practices, performing competitor analysis, diving into consumer analytics, sketching, prototyping and user‑testing experiences for digital products

Conduct user research using qualitative and quantitative methods, such as interviews, personas, journey maps and AB tests

Analyze user feedback and activity, before and after product updates, to continually enhance the user experience

Identify design problems and devise effective solutions

Make strategic design and user‑experience decisions related to current and new, functions/features

Create custom, unique and user centered website mockups using Figma

Work with the agile product owner to refine user stories

Qualifications

3‑5 years of UX design experience

Expert in Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, etc)

Expert in Figma

Proven experience with responsive and adaptive design methodologies

Expert understanding of front‑end code: HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript

Superior time management, process management and communication skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Hungry for innovation, strives to stay up to date on relevant trending topics and changes to web and user experience

Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas

Experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile‑first and responsive design

Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design

Comfortable receiving feedback and quickly change course based on business needs

Team player who can work collaboratively with other departments, partners and marketers

Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Must be self‑motivated, self‑starter, have a sense of urgency and extremely well‑organized

Ability to work with minimum supervision in a collaborative team environment

Microsoft office product skills including Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast‑paced, changing environment

Must exercise sound business judgment and handle confidential information with sensitivity

Must be a team player with ability to work on several projects at a time

Equipment Operated Standard office equipment, including PC, copier, fax machine, printer

Work Environment Typical office environment, adequately heated and cooled

Physical Effort Generally, not required.

Supervision Received General Direction: The incumbent normally receives little instruction on day‑to‑day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.
