
Field Marketing Representative - Metro Detroit
The Field Marketing Representative is a hands-on, fast-paced, entry-level marketing role ideal for an individual who thrives in the field, enjoys building relationships, and is passionate about bringing a brand to life through real-world experiences. This position offers strong growth potential within one of Michigan’s leading cannabis brands.
As the frontline ambassador of Mitten Extracts, the Marketing Field Representative serves as the primary human connection between the brand and Michigan’s retail, budtender, and consumer community. This role is responsible for executing in-store activations, educational initiatives, events, and community-driven experiences across the state. Every interaction—whether in-store or at an event—must reflect Mitten Extracts’ premium brand standards while fostering long-term relationships and brand loyalty.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between Mitten Extracts and retail partners statewide.
Execute all Mitten Extracts educational events across Michigan.
Lead social hours, hybrid events, and in-store activations.
Deliver brand and product education to budtenders and retail staff.
Drive and collect Mitten Club loyalty program sign-ups in the field.
Distribute marketing materials and digital assets while ensuring brand standards are consistently upheld.
Extend in-person activations into digital moments through event recaps, behind-the-scenes coverage, livestreams, and social storytelling.
Collaborate with the Content Manager to translate field activations into social posts, reels, TikToks, and live Q&A content.
Field Coverage & Activity Expectations
Operate on pre-defined retail routes established by the marketing team.
Work 5 days per week, Tuesday-Saturday, based on event schedules and business needs.
Cover approximately 20–22 retail locations per week.
Complete approximately 80–90 retail visits per month.
Maintain consistent brand presence across all assigned accounts while balancing education, relationship-building, and activation execution.
Field Education
Lead educational initiatives that ensure budtenders are knowledgeable, confident, and enthusiastic advocates of Mitten Extracts products.
Maintain accurate and timely reporting for all Mitten Extracts events, as directed by the Community Manager.
Work cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and sales teams to ensure cohesive and effective execution of all community-facing initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Comfortable being on camera and representing the brand in public-facing environments
Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesWillingness to work weekends and travel frequently throughout Michigan
Passion for cannabis, community engagement, and delivering exceptional brand experiences
Salary: Exempt $50,000 annually.
Additional compensation: Commission and performance-based bonuses
