Account Manager, Major Accounts
to help us elevate the customer‑experience for a portfolio of our
most strategically significant clients .
Position Overview As the Account Manager for Major Accounts, you will own and grow relationships with a select group of Abel‑Womack’s largest, highest‑impact customers. These clients may or may not have a national footprint—but all are considered critical to our long‑term success.
You will serve as a strategic advisor and consultative seller, leveraging our full suite of solutions—including Raymond lift trucks, racking systems, allied products, automation technologies, and AMRs—to help customers optimize their operations.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Account Leadership
Manage and expand relationships with key stakeholders across assigned major accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Develop and execute tailored account strategies designed to meet the specific needs and goals of each account, focused on increasing sales volume and market share.
Client Engagement & Consultation
Conduct regular customer visits (typically monthly to twice quarterly) to strengthen partnerships and identify new opportunities.
Serve as a trusted, expert advisor on Raymond’s full product suite, and promote our allied offerings and automated solutions, effectively demonstrating our overall value to clients.
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to proactively identify growth opportunities.
Internal Collaboration & Execution
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales support, marketing, service, and engineering, to ensure alignment and effective execution of account strategies and solutions.
Coordinate with regional and local sales teams to ensure consistent experience across all customer locations.
Sales Performance & Reporting
Achieve assigned revenue and margin goals through effective forecasting and opportunity management.
Maintain accurate CRM data, including account plans, forecasts, and activity notes.
Lead or support pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and renewal cycles.
Qualifications Required
Proven experience in sales or account management, ideally within material handling or an industrial sales environment.
Demonstrated expertise representing the Raymond product suite; strong understanding of warehousing and material handling solutions.
Experience managing complex consultative sales cycles, involving multiple stakeholders and capital equipment decisions.
Ability to evaluate financial impact, ROI, and value propositions.
Proven achievement of exceeding quota for the past 3 years.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; detail‑oriented, proactive, and collaborative work style.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel by car/air (est. 30%) for client meetings.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in material handling or related industrial sales.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in office, customer site, and industrial environments as required.
Ability to communicate clearly—verbally and in writing; use telephone, computer, and office equipment.
Ability to deliver formal presentations both in person and via Microsoft Teams.
Ability to spend extended periods at a workstation and/or walking through customer sites (warehouses, manufacturing floors) to observe and assess operations.
Must be able to drive an automobile, fly on commercial airlines and maneuver through terminals.
Ability to wear PPE where required.

Compensation and Benefits This position offers a generous base salary plus commission structure with performance incentives. Final base rate will be based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other job‑related qualifications.
