
MicroTech Systems is looking for a Client Account Manager to join our team in our Boise, Idaho office. This person will act as a liaison between MicroTech Systems and our clients, prospecting and closing new business. The foundation for account management is to maintain and strengthen client relationships and satisfaction for services delivered.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, solid analytical skills, and proven problem‑solving experience. The successful Account Manager will be energetic, passionate and driven to succeed in selling a full solution, not just a product. He or she will use their interpersonal skills to communicate with clients and provide a solution to their problems quickly and professionally.
Responsibilities
Act as product expert – determine and report on system capabilities and restrictions. Evaluate the customer objective and suggest alternatives and recommendations. Account Managers will be challenged with various clients' systems and network architecture and will be expected to retain knowledge pertaining to various line of business applications.
Provide client support – collaborate with technical team members to provide exceptional customer service to the client. Work with vendors to find and provide recommendations for a solution. Improve any current programs by understanding the goal and outcome.
Oversee customer account management – includes developing new business along with negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profits.
Collaborate cross‑functionally – work closely with the service team to achieve quotas while keeping clients satisfied and engaged with products and services.
Ensure delivery to customers – facilitate the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales or related field Preferred
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
Familiarity with CRM software Preferred
Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C‑level
Key Criteria / Requirements
Improve and maintain excellent client service, perception, and satisfaction
Act as client liaison between clients and MicroTech departments
Creating / providing quotes for MicroTech goods and services as well as necessary follow‑up on client concerns
Client contract renewals
Client reporting on services provided
Account Manager will be expected to maintain minimum margin levels on products sold
Client tri‑annual business review meetings
Account project summaries
Prospecting for new accounts on a daily basis (cold calls, emails, networking events, etc.)
Prospecting appointments, proposals and quotes for new service agreements
Closing net new business
Onboarding new clients
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and Autotask (will train)
Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in person and on the phone
Active listening skills to meet the client needs
Self‑motivated to work in a fast‑paced environment and ability to multi‑task
Professional appearance
Aptitude for technical sales
Valid driver’s license
Reliable vehicle for traveling to prospecting / client appointments
