Stonehenge is A PRIVATE CLUB FOR THE TRUE GOLFER Located in the rolling hills of Lake Barrington, Illinois . It was built in 1972 by Charles Maddox Sr., architect and Illinois PGA Hall of Fame Inductee, and Charles Maddox Jr., builder. The Maddox family continues to own and operate Stonehenge today. The course features bent grass greens, blue rye fairways, a large driving range and practice area with a natural grass tee, and several lake and wetland areas. The Assistant Superintendent position is a full-time, year-round leadership role. The assistant will partner with the Superintendent in overseeing daily golf course operations, executing short- and long-term agronomic plans, and managing the grounds staff to ensure exceptional course conditions. This position has been intentionally structured as a succession pathway to the superintendent role. The selected candidate will work closely with the current Superintendent and General Manager to gain comprehensive operational and leadership experience, with the expectation of assuming the Superintendent role upon retirement. Qualifications

Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management or a related field is preferred (qualified experience will be considered) Illinois Pesticide Applicator License or the ability to obtain within first year Knowledge of regular maintenance practices of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers. Demonstrated leadership and team management ability Strong communication skills with staff, management, and membership Organizational discipline and long-term career focus
