Our client, a well-established community and private bank serving businesses, nonprofits, and individuals in the Bay Area, is seeking a

Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking

to join their team. This is a key client-facing role responsible for developing and managing commercial banking relationships and driving portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage new and existing commercial client relationships through exceptional service

Maintain awareness of local market conditions, competitors, and community activities

Serve as a trusted advisor to commercial banking clients, anticipating needs and delivering tailored solutions

Recommend appropriate banking products and services to meet client goals

Meet with clients in person or virtually, demonstrate available products, and assist with implementation

Analyze financial information to assess creditworthiness and prepare loan recommendations for credit approval

Structure and negotiate credit terms, including pricing, repayment schedules, and collateral

Manage and maintain an assigned loan portfolio, ensuring compliance, risk rating accuracy, and timely reporting

Represent the bank at community events, networking functions, and industry associations

Collaborate with internal teams to enhance overall client experience and service delivery

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience

Strong knowledge of commercial banking products and services (credit, depository, cash management, lending)

Familiarity with banking regulations including BSA/AML

Established connections within the San Francisco / Bay Area market preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong professionalism and discretion

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); Salesforce experience is a plus

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Solid credit analysis and financial assessment capabilities

High level of client service orientation and interpersonal effectiveness

Compensation Base Salary: $110,000 - $160,000

Highly competitive incentive plan (uncapped)
