Role Overview

The Account Executive represents AMO Sales and Services, Inc. to the appropriate customer base within a designated geographical area, placing major emphasis on increasing sales of Monofocal and Refractive IOL’s, Phaco, OVD, adjunct products and any other new technologies. Assigned sales goals are achieved through creative, consultative selling and implementation of the U.S. marketing plans. The Account Executive provides technical product knowledge and in‑service support to ensure customer satisfaction.

Core Job Responsibilities

Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

Achieves assigned sales goals through execution of U.S. marketing plans, demonstrating an independent, creative, consultative/value‑based sales approach. Works synergistically with Laser Vision Correction Group counterparts to provide customers with a full product solution.

Provides expert product knowledge regarding surgical and refractive techniques, technical product support, in‑service programs, and innovative educational programs. Prepares detailed sales/procedural/financial presentations to new and existing customers.

Leverages all other J&J resources, sales personnel, and strategic partners to enhance field productivity, including integration of the Phaco in‑service, innovative educational programs and CORE.

Utilizes Customer Resource Management System and computer hardware/software to enhance productivity; prepares and submits timely reports requested by management and marketing.

Effectively manages J&J’s field assets, including IOL consignments, product samples within budget, surgical instruments, Phaco demonstration equipment/accessories, and hardware/software.

Position Accountability / Scope

Reports directly to the District Manager (DM) or Senior District Manager (SDM).

Responsible for hitting established quota for all disposable, capital, and other surgical and non‑surgical products.

Manages travel and expense budgets; represents consigned lenses, trunk stock, literature, and surgical equipment appropriately.

Calls on ophthalmologists and staff within the assigned territory to grow market share and maintain the current base of business.

Works independently and as part of a team supporting company goals and sales objectives.

Available for 35%-40% overnight travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or 7 years of relevant experience.

3 years of professional selling experience.

Surgical O.R. experience preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to travel, including overnight/weekend travel, is required.

Base Pay Range $83,000.00 - $133,400.00

Benefits & Compensation Competitive sales incentive compensation program. Eligible for company car via FLEET program. Eligible for consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). Time off: Vacation up to 120 hours per year; Sick time up to 40 hours per year (56 in Washington); Holiday pay up to 13 days per year; Work, Personal and Family Time up to 40 hours per year.
