Position Summary Our client is seeking an early-career

Account Manager – Automotive

to manage a high volume of existing customer relationships while supporting growth initiatives across the Metro Detroit region and nearby states. This role is ideal for a driven professional with strong relationship-building skills who wants to develop within a global precision manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow a portfolio of existing automotive accounts (≈75% of role focus)

Develop new business opportunities within assigned territory (≈25%)

Call on Automotive Tier 2, Tier 3 suppliers, and OEM customers

Serve as primary liaison between customers and internal engineering/manufacturing teams

Identify new programs, applications, and cross-selling opportunities

Support quoting, program launches, and commercial negotiations

Track sales activity, forecasts, and account performance metrics

Travel within territory as needed (up to 25%)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Business, or related field a plus)

0–5 years of experience in sales, account management, or customer-facing role in manufacturing or industrial markets

Exposure to automotive supply chain or engineered products preferred

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Self-starter with ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities

Willingness to travel within region
