Thompson & Johnson Equipment is growing our Northeast Dock & Door (NEDD) division and we’re looking for a hands‑on
Sales Manager
to help lead and scale this exciting part of our business.
This is a unique player/coach role — you’ll manage your own sales territory while recruiting, coaching, and building a high‑performing team. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys selling, mentoring others, and building something from the ground up with the support of an established, stable company behind you.
What You’ll Do
Manage and grow your own sales territory
Prospect, quote, negotiate, and close new business
Recruit, coach, and develop NEDD Sales Representatives
Drive revenue, margin, and growth targets
Partner with Service and Operations teams to deliver excellent customer experiences
Help shape the future of a growing division
What We’re Looking For
Strong B2B or industrial/equipment sales experience. Dock & door, construction, or service‑based sales experience is a plus.
Leadership or coaching experience preferred
Self‑motivated, organized, and results driven
Strong communication, organization, and closing skills
Comfortable managing pipelines and using CRM tools and Microsoft Office
Team‑first mindset with strong customer focus
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within territory
