A growing equipment rental organization is seeking an experienced
Heavy Equipment Rental Sales Representative
to manage and expand an established territory in the
Salt Lake City area .
This is an outside sales role focused on developing long-term customer relationships, growing rental revenue, and identifying new business opportunities within the construction and related industries.
This position offers an existing book of business to take over, along with strong upside for territory growth.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow an established book of rental accounts within the assigned territory
Develop new business through prospecting, networking, and jobsite visits
Conduct daily account management, including follow-ups, site visits, and customer support
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate heavy equipment rental solutions
Prepare quotes, negotiate rental agreements, and close business
Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, and customer data in CRM
Attend industry trade shows and local construction events to build brand presence
Collaborate with operations and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in heavy equipment rental sales, outside sales, or territory sales
Prior rental industry experience preferred
Construction industry experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to manage and grow a territory
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset
CRM proficiency and strong PC skills
Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check

Compensation
Car Allowance | Base salary plus commission structure
