
The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. You will build strong relationships, manage client accounts, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service. The right person will collaborate closely with colleagues and engage with clients through meetings and calls. Your role is crucial in driving client satisfaction and retention while identifying opportunities for growth within existing accounts.
Responsibilities
Support distributor sales teams and category management to improve inventory movement, launch new items, and provide solutions for their operators
Plan and execute training on products and services to end-users and distributor teams
Collaborate with the Sales Manager to successfully meet sales objectives, build a funnel, and deliver results for clients
Grow trust and build effective relationships with manufacturer clients, internal team, distributors, and operators
Schedule, prepare, and execute calls, cuttings, and business reviews for visiting manufacturer representatives
Input sales activity in CRM
Analyze account data and inform clients of their performance
Oversee adherence to company policies and industry standards in all client communications
Oversee client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention
Work with internal teams to synchronize efforts towards achieving client objectives
Spot process enhancement opportunities and apply proven practices
Qualifications
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Experience with training individuals and teams on products and services
Strong sales management skills and CRM experience are a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor's degree or sales experience in a related field
Familiarity with the food service industry is a plus
Packaging and non-food experience is a plus
Over five years in account management within a relevant sector
Proven skill in handling many accounts and consistently hitting targets
Knowledge of CRM applications and tools for managing relationships is preferred
Bachelor's in Business, Marketing, or a similar discipline
Strong negotiation and communication capabilities required
Compensation $75,000 - $85,000 yearly
