Position Summary The Sales Account Manager is responsible for profitably growing sales and achieving quarterly/annual sales targets. This key role develops and grows relationships with builders in the designated geography, ensuring bid requirements and builder requirements are well understood. They ensure exceptional execution of all aspects of the sales processes, from review of plans and specs, and bidding of projects, to negotiation of prices and terms with the client. Primera is seeking candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit who are excellent multi‑taskers and strong relationship builders to serve as our Sales Account Manager supporting our production and multifamily builder business segment for residential flooring, cabinets and countertops in our production and multifamily builder business segments. This role is responsible for managing and growing assigned builder accounts in alignment with current business priorities and sales objectives. This key role develops and grows relationships with builders in the designated geography, ensuring bid requirements and builder requirements are well understood. They ensure exceptional execution of all aspects of the sales processes from review of plans and specs, bidding of projects, and negotiation of prices and terms with the client.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain existing and develop new client relationships with key client constituents (i.e., Purchasing, Construction, Operations) and

Maintain strong knowledge of the single‑family home marketplace

Attend client functions and industry‑related events

Actively research and qualify leads to identify the best opportunities to bid

Conduct customer site visits as necessary

Identify bid opportunities, develop bids, negotiate pricing and terms, and close new business with existing and/or new clients

Track and follow up with potential clients to obtain the status of submitted proposals; solicit feedback to determine our contract award performance

Actively participate in timely resolution of any customer service issues in partnership with operations and field teams

Work in conjunction with central estimating to develop cost estimates for community projects ensuring estimators have the most current and complete design information and revisions

Actively track sales pipeline and performance in order to meet or exceed periodic sales targets and annual sales growth targets

Clarify and document scopes of work, material, and customer schedule requirements

Lead client discussions regarding any product, material or price changes that are required by Primera

Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Strong interpersonal and communication skills required

Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy required

Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality required

Strong hunter mentality with the ability to achieve goals without direct supervision required

Ability to secure new business from existing relationships and make an immediate impact on business required

Experience managing multiple customers at once within a set geographical area required

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, One Drive, Word, Excel) strongly preferred

Industry experience in homebuilding, construction, or similar fields strongly preferred

This position offers a hybrid schedule with the ability to work partially remote. Candidates must be able to work effectively from a home office with reliable internet connectivity.

The role requires managing a fast‑paced workload, balancing frequent communications, and meeting time‑sensitive deadlines.

Standard business hours apply, however, occasional evening or weekend availability may be required based on business needs.

Travel to client sites is required, along with periodic travel to the corporate or local office for meetings, training sessions, and company events.

Physical Requirements Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects and materials of light‑weight (5‑10 pounds). Tasks typically involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Work is performed in usual office conditions with rare exposure to disagreeable environmental factors.
