SUMMARY As an Inside Sales Associate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with staff, project managers, contractors, and vendors within the commercial plumbing and heating industry. The Associate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely equipment estimates for commercial building projects. Detail orientation and an ability to build relationships is a critical quality for the individual in this position.
This is a full time, 8-5pm Monday through Friday, role located onsite at the La Vista, NE office or onsite at our Urbandale, IA office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare detailed and accurate purchase orders, sales orders, quotes/submittal packages for pumps, water heaters, boilers, and hydronic accessories for mechanical contractors and wholesale customers.
Assist with customers, pickups, and shipping/receiving warehouse duties.
Perform plans take-off with speed and accuracy in accordance with procedures.
Follow and track multiple projects of various complexity from start to finish.
Maintain and manage well-developed relationships with wholesalers/contractors/suppliers.
Prepare, coordinate and convey project related instructions, information, questions, and clarifications between management and various vendor/subcontract groups.
Notify manager of irregularities in vendor/contractor quotations and unusual situations.
Visit wholesaler and mechanical contractors where needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in the plumbing and heating industry or demonstrated interest in learning about the industry
Able to push, pull, move a maximum weight of 50lbs.
Estimating and Quantity Take-offs skills.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Office 365
Able to read, analyze and interpret complex design plans, blueprints, documents and specifications.
Ability to manage time efficiently, work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism, work well with a team and individually.
Ability to travel to job sites and business travel occasionally required.
Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering or related field
