JOB DESCRIPTION The Federal Account Manager, FDO/LVO is responsible for growing the share of Vertiv products and services within a defined geography.

Position Summary The Federal Account Manager, FDO/LVO is responsible for growing the share of Vertiv products and services within a defined geography.

Responsibilities

Develops and implements effective sales strategies to help drive sales of Vertiv products and services.

Prioritizes targets and defines approach with management and Civilian/DOD/Intel/Channel Sales Leaders

Creates and maintains a community of practice consisting of Field Direct Offices (FDOs), Local Vertiv Offices (LVOs), technical sales resources, National Account Representatives and Channel Sales personnel.

Focuses on direct interaction with Federal Government end-users to develop business opportunities; drives opportunities to the Channel or LVO/FDO for fulfillment in accordance with customer requirements.

Creates solutions and specifies product sets for the end-user (with appropriate assistance).

Attend trade shows, partner events, and join relevant external organizations.

Takes enterprise responsibility for select agencies and departments as needed.

Provides up to date weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts.

May train/mentor less experienced team members as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

8+ years of sales/sales support experience

Must be a United States citizen.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Excellent customer service, organizational, and analytical skills.

Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Sales experience selling to the Federal government

An understanding of the United States Government Customer, procurement methods and buying vehicles, multi-tier distribution and agent sales programs.

Security Clearance (past or current)

Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems used to support information technology in data centers

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Frequent travel.

No special physical requirements.

Time Travel Required

50% minimum
