(learn more at ).**Job Summary:**The Marketing Communications Specialist supports the execution of marketing and communications primarily for the New York market under the direction of Senior Director of Communications.**Duties & Responsibilities:****Content Development*** Develop a wide range of content to support marketing and communications activities, including but not limited to program-specific communications and scripting, website copy, social media posts, presentations, blogs, marketing collateral, and email campaigns.* Produce clear, clean, and audience-appropriate messaging on a wide range of topics.* Coordinate with multimedia graphic designers and other team members to transform content into reader-friendly, visually engaging materials.* Support the development and execution of event content, assisting with the creation of speaking abstracts, promotional materials, and presentations.**Communications Strategy & Execution*** Own the end-to-end process for developing and executing communications, from content creation to distribution, collaborating with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to gather information and obtain approvals.* Develop a deep understanding of our audience to communicate effectively and empathetically, ensuring all messages are clear, relevant, and sensitive to their needs.* Support the execution of content strategies across marketing and communications channels.**Digital Engagement*** Develop social media content to support PPL markets in conjunction with Digital Marketing Specialist.* Participate in active social listening and media monitoring in New York and other key markets, sharing regular reporting with the team and identifying opportunities to create timely and relevant content based on current news and trends.**Analytics & Performance Monitoring*** Monitor marketing dashboards and success metrics.* Use insights to inform content creation and optimize communication strategies.**Required Skills:*** Strong writing skills, with the ability to adapt messaging, tone, and reading level for different audiences.* Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Excellent attention to detail and ability to see and work towards a big picture.* Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to collaborate with team members at all levels within the company to anticipate and mitigate risks and adhere to deadlines.* A sense of urgency and the ability to quickly adapt, learn, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.* Familiarity with the creative process and marketing design.* Knowledge of the New York market, with a preference for candidates located in or near New York State.**Qualifications:****Education**: Bachelor’s degree or substantial professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.**Experience:** 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in marketing communications, content development, or a related field, with demonstrated success supporting integrated marketing and communications initiatives across multiple channel**Compensation & Benefits:*** 401k Retirement Plan* Medical, Dental and Vision insurance on first day of employment* Generous Paid Time Off* Employee Assistance Program and more**Compensation:** $80,000 - $90,000***The above is intended to describe the general contents and requirements of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
