Your Role on the Team Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced marketing and / or sales professional to perform the full range of marketing and / or sales activities, including coordinating marketing events, such as the Zot Wellness Fair and other similar campus based trade fairs and back to school events, and developing and implementing promotional strategies to include using social media, electronic advertisements / LCD screens, and posters displays to promote awareness within the campus community and to the general public of Campus Recreation programs such as Group Fitness and Wellbeing programs or many other fitness related offerings. Has a full understanding of fitness / gym industry practices and UCI policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues. This position will also manage a department comprised entirely of student staff with an express interest in marketing, sales, and social media. The objective of this position is to increase awareness of Campus Recreation and its services which will increase program participation, facility membership, and internal / external advertising sponsorships for revenue generation.

Thorough knowledge of the campus including its achievements, mission, vision, goals, objectives and infrastructure.

Thorough knowledge of the campus products and services.

Thorough analytical and written communication skills.

Thorough knowledge of marketing mediums and funding sources.

Thorough knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.

Strong project management skills.

Strong interpersonal communication and political acumen skills.

Strong skills in event and media activities management.

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training

5-10 yearsof professional marketing experience or relevant UCI knowledge

1-3 yearsof experience using Adobe creative suite

Preferred:

Skill in mentoring less experienced staff.

Special Conditions:

Ability to work variable hours, occasional nights/weekends

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $79,200- $111,300 (Annual).
