Account Manager Stolly Insurance Classification: Non-Exempt. Reports To: Department Supervisor. Position Summary: Stolly Insurance is seeking a full-time Account Manager to support the servicing, retention, and renewal of client accounts across one of our core departments—Personal, Commercial, or Employee Benefits. The specific department assignment will be determined based on agency needs and the experience of the selected candidate. This role provides prompt, accurate, and high-quality service to clients while supporting producer activities. The Account Manager serves as a key point of contact for existing clients, ensuring coverage accuracy, timely service, and strong client relationships while minimizing errors and omissions exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the servicing, renewal, and retention of assigned client accounts
Gather underwriting and renewal information at least 60 days prior to renewal and submit to carriers as required
Prepare, process, and review renewals, endorsements, binders, certificates, ID cards, and policy changes
Remarketing of existing accounts when appropriate, including obtaining applications and coordinating implementation
Conduct periodic service and renewal review calls with designated clients
Receive and respond to phone calls, emails, and office visits from existing clients regarding service matters
Process changes to existing coverage and/or new policies within established service standards
Review renewals and present relevant information and recommendations to producers
Identify opportunities to round out accounts by soliciting additional lines of insurance prior to renewal
Follow up on outstanding claim matters and assist in resolution as needed
Solicit and document expiration dates for policies not currently written by the agency
Clearly explain coverage, products, and plan options to clients using knowledge of agency systems and procedures
Assist clients with provider networks and carrier-related inquiries when applicable
Document all material conversations with clients and carriers in the agency management system
Set up and maintain accurate client files and agency management system records
Identify service issues and initiate appropriate action to resolve them
Maintain a strong focus on timeliness, accuracy, and thorough documentation to reduce E&O exposure
Assist department team members in support of overall department goals
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by management
Licensing & Professional Requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain all licenses required by the State Department of Insurance
Life, Health, and/or Property & Casualty licensing may be required depending on department assignment
Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong customer service orientation with a professional demeanor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Assertive self-starter with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Willingness to travel as needed
