Job Description
Job Description
Community Solar Sales Representative
Community solar allows residents — renters and homeowners — to subscribe to a local solar farm and receive credits on their utility bill. No rooftop panels. No upfront costs.
You’ll be out in the field educating Illinois residents and enrolling qualified households into a program that lowers their monthly bill — while you build your own income through uncapped commissions.
This is for the self-driven. The ones who don’t mind knocking doors because they know every conversation is an opportunity.
Why Sell Community Solar?
Not rooftop solar — renters and homeowners can qualify
No cost to enroll
High growth renewable product with real savings
Fast commission turnaround
Training and administrative support provided
Uncapped earning potential
What You Could Earn - Example
Estimated average commission:
$200 per completed enrollment
20 sales per week = $4,000
15 sales per week = $3,000
5 sales per week = $1,000
Your income is performance-based. The more doors you knock, the more conversations you have, the more you earn.
What You’ll Do
Work assigned territories (independent contractor role)
Knock doors with confidence and professionalism
Educate residents in a friendly, honest way
Enroll qualified households
Submit completed enrollments for processing and commission payment
What We’re Looking For
Competitive spirit
Positive, outgoing personality
Self-starter who manages time effectively
Strong work ethic
Resilient mindset — able to hear “no” and keep moving
This is not a sit-behind-a-desk role. It’s for people who want control over their earning potential and are willing to work for it.
Let’s get to work. Apply today for to set up a quick Zoom chat!
