The Opportunity Our client is seeking a Sales & Business Development Representative to manage a high‑potential territory. This full‑time, exempt role is crucial for driving new business within the custom industrial crating, specialized packing, and logistics compliance sectors. The position reports to the Regional Operational Manager and offers a competitive salary range plus commissions.
What You Will Do
Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities for specialized industrial crating and packing services.
Proposals & Presentations: Create persuasive proposals and engaging presentations tailored to client needs.
Internal Collaboration: Partner with operations, compliance, and customer service teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
Relationship Building: Maintain and strengthen client relationships to encourage long‑term partnerships.
Sales Tracking: Track and analyze sales performance using Dynamic Business Central and other sales tools.
Marketing Support: Actively support marketing and outreach initiatives, including trade shows, conferences, and community events.
Strategic Growth: Partner with Marketing and Account Executives to develop strategic approaches for account attainment.
Client Education: Educate clients about service terminology, features, and benefits to enhance understanding.
Who You Are
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience or strong experience as an Account Coordinator or Customer Service Representative within the custom crating and packing industry.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the custom crating and packing industry and some level of hazardous/dangerous goods knowledge or exposure.
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office; comfortable with CRM and proposal tools.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation skills; strategic thinker with strong organizational abilities.
Attributes: Persistent, comfortable with rejection, motivated to build long‑term client relationships.
Stability: Track record of professional stability and long‑term commitment; limited "job‑hopping".
