Location: New York, NY- Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 remote

Salary: $90,000–$140,000 | Full-time, Exempt
A leading global intellectual property law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Content Writer to support high-impact marketing and business development initiatives.
This role is ideal for a strong legal writer with proven experience managing legal directory submissions, RFPs, and awards in a law firm or professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and draft submissions for legal directories including Chambers, Legal 500, IP Stars, and similar rankings
Manage RFP responses from strategy through submission
Develop persuasive proposals and client-facing materials
Draft and edit newsletter articles and thought leadership
Prepare attorneys for directory interviews and manage referee lists
Track submission calendars, outcomes, and process improvements
Edit marketing materials, presentations, and pitches
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services setting
Demonstrated success improving rankings through strategic directory submissions
Strong RFP and proposal writing experience
Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
