District Sales Engineer
is a dynamic role, where you are the territory technical expert, responsible for implementing customer-focused solutions through in-depth product knowledge and technical aptitude within the

sales territory. By working in close collaboration with our sales team, you will grow market share at target accounts through high potential opportunities. This position is critical in the sales support and growth for the sales territory.
Job Functions for District Sales Engineer:
Supports OSG Territory Sales Managers by focusing on business development opportunities through tool recommendations, technical seminars and customer relationships to provide appropriate solutions to sales opportunity demands
Supports end user customers, the distribution network and the OSG USA Territory Sales Managers within assigned territory
Responsible for correctly implementing OSG USA product through live cutting tool demonstrations and/or technical seminars
Thorough understanding of competitive landscapes to ensure the reduction of competitor conversions
Communicates across departments to deliver and gather relevant information
Supports Engineering staff for new product development and introductions by gathering field data and delivering it in a concise manner
Responds to technical questions from end user and sales channels with promptness and precision
Develops and delivers product features and technical training for internal employees and external customers
Initiate test applications that assist in the development of technical sales proposals including running machines to establish optimum machining parameters
Troubleshoots and analyzes applications with precise recommendations and solutions to customers' problems
Travels and visits target end users and distributors to support territory growth
Active in continuously growing your skills, knowledge, and abilities in technical and sales aptitude
Handle confidential information discreetly
Other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications for District Sales Engineer:
Three (3) years of sales experience in a manufacturing, programming and/or industrial sales position
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial/Machine Technology or similar technical degree
General knowledge of cutting tools and/or manufacturing/machining industry
Basic knowledge and operation using Computer Aided Design software
Ability to read and comprehend prints
Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Ability to communicate solutions with both engineers and non-engineers
Ability to perform mathematical calculations pertaining to machining
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability and willingness to travel by air and overnight between 25-50% of time, including entertainment of customers
Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license
Preferred Qualifications for District Sales Engineer:
Through sales and customer relationship experiences, you possess the ability to listen and understand the customer’s constraints and have a proven record of accomplishment of delivering technical solutions for their demand
Strong familiarity with cutting tools and CNC machine operation
Comprehensive knowledge and experience with CAD/CAM
Advanced Excel skills
Advanced understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes
Industry related memberships or certifications
