Job Summary The Manager of Sales Control & Credit is responsible for providing management information and coordinating the planning & control cycle related to sales. The purpose of the job is to make sure that the management team is able to make decisions. He/she is working closely together with EVP Global Sales & Marketing, Global Supply Chain Director, Financial Controllers, Regional Controllers, Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury and Finance Staff.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Design, maintain and provide timely and accurate management information on the sales business cycle

Facilitate the planning & control cycle for sales, including the forecasting and budgeting process

Critically analyze information and translate it into useful advice, improvement proposals and conclusions for management

Monitoring performance and provide accurate and timely monthly variance analyses between actuals, budget, latest forecast and prior year by product /customer

Advise on and pro-actively manage A/R and credit

Support the EVP Marketing & Sales on (transfer) pricing, 3rd party sales

Responsible for preparing / maintaining the reselling price list / global price list including ensuring that intercompany pricing is compliant with the applicable transfer price policy

Responsible for implementation of credit policy as per company guidelines

Manage customer credit (limits) and release of sales orders where needed, following the company's credit process

Support business improvement projects in the area of sales

Ensure compliance with Corporate Compliance policies such as Third Party Risk Management, Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Corruption policies

Ownership of AR & Sales contracting policies incl. communication Darling US, Regions and BU

Work with Master Data Management team to maintain the master data accuracy in JDE, HSP, and Longview, ensuring the interface between Hyperion and Longview in close collaboration with the BI team

Prepare monthly and quarterly SOX controls related to sales

Prepare and facilitate the (sales) Business Review Meetings

Adhere to company policies and processes (including change control, security, corporate policies and/or US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley 404)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in finance, accounting or related field

3 to 5 years of professional finance, accounting or budgeting and forecasting experience.

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

Master's degree or CPA a plus

Proficient knowledge and thorough understanding of US GAAP

Experience in a Big 4 firm and/or international company

Experience with JD Edwards, Hyperion Financial Planning (HFP), Hyperion Sales Planning (HSP), Longview, CRM, Power Point and Excel.
