HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT: As the Senior Director of Quality Assurance and Product Safety, you will play a crucial role within Skip Hop, ensuring excellence across our product lines, including baby gear and toys targeted at infants and toddlers aged 0 to 3 years. You'll lead initiatives to uphold high quality, safety, and compliance standards throughout our product development lifespan. Quality Assurance, Safety & Compliance (35%): Drive the internal protocols that establish industry-leading safety and quality standards. Develop processes that ensure consistent, up-to-date quality and safety guidance throughout all phases of product development. Oversee product testing, inspections, certifications, and factory audits to guarantee compliance with national and international standards. Lead and nurture QA teams in New York and China, fostering top-tier quality standards and professional growth. Serve as the quality assurance authority within Skip Hop, promoting collaboration in executive meetings. Forge strong partnerships with Design & Product Development teams to integrate QA principles during the design phase. Manage budgets effectively while maintaining productive relationships with testing labs and stakeholders. Program Management & Technical Direction (35%): Utilize your expertise in testing and safety requirements for age 0+ infant products and baby gear. Conduct hazard analysis, implement preventive measures, and manage verification procedures. Act as a Subject Matter Expert for reliability, safety, sustainability, and global compliance across key regions, including the US, Canada, UK, Europe, China, and Japan. Ensure proper labeling requirements are met and implemented across diverse geographical markets. Reporting, Documentation & Analysis (30%): Enhance internal and external reporting, documentation, and continuous improvement processes. Analyze data collected from customer service, sales feedback, and quality control to drive improvements and optimize vendor performance. Collaborate with Carter's enterprise to manage vendor-related programs, ensuring transparency and product traceability. WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF: You have 10+ years of experience in quality assurance for juvenile products. You are knowledgeable about safety and compliance for age 0+ infant products. You have managed QA teams focused on documentation and compliance for product development. You have developed compliance requirements for various regions globally. You can create thorough compliance and documentation standards. You have led teams both onshore and in Asia. You have experience with accredited third-party testing labs. You possess deep technical knowledge of Chinese testing standards and US regulations like CA Prop 65. You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and excellent communication abilities.
