Investment Due Diligence Analysts

to support

pre-investment analysis, diligence execution, and risk evaluation

across new investment opportunities.

Individuals in roles like this focus on validating investment theses through deep financial, commercial, operational, and strategic diligence. The position offers direct exposure to live deals and close collaboration with investment professionals, third-party advisors, and portfolio company management teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Support end-to-end diligence processes for new platform and add-on investments

Coordinate and analyze financial, commercial, operational, legal, and tax diligence workstreams

Review data rooms, management materials, and third-party diligence reports

Identify key risks, red flags, and value-creation opportunities

Financial & Business Analysis

Analyze historical and projected financial performance, KPIs, and unit economics

Assess revenue quality, customer concentration, churn, margins, and cost structures

Support modeling of base, upside, and downside cases to stress-test investment assumptions

Market, Industry & Competitive Research

Conduct market sizing, industry analysis, and competitive landscape assessments

Evaluate growth drivers, barriers to entry, and industry dynamics

Support validation of management’s strategic positioning and go-to-market plans

Investment Thesis & IC Support

Synthesize diligence findings into clear, actionable investment insights

Draft diligence summaries, risk matrices, and investment committee materials

Present data-backed perspectives on deal merits, risks, and mitigation strategies

Cross-Functional & Advisor Collaboration

Work closely with senior investment professionals throughout live deals

Interface with third-party advisors including accounting firms, consultants, and legal teams

Track diligence timelines, deliverables, and open items

Education & Technical Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large, complex data sets

Solid understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, and business fundamentals

Experience (Formal or Informal)

Prior internships or experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, transaction advisory, or corporate finance is beneficial

Exposure to diligence processes, financial analysis, or market research is a plus

Demonstrated interest in investing, deal analysis, and risk evaluation
