
Marketing Manager at Curious Creatures
Part Time: 20Hrs/Week with intention to become full time

Company Overview Curious Creatures is an innovative startup specializing in high-quality mountain bike & outdoor apparel designed for adventure enthusiasts. We are passionate about creating functional, stylish, and sustainable gear for all kinds of adventures. As we gear up for growth, we are looking for a dynamic Marketing Manager to join our team.
Position Overview The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing our marketing in our next chapter of growth. The focus will be on driving growth, through increasing brand awareness and fostering our community. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the mountain biking & outdoor community. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, be comfortable with ambiguity, and have the ability to think high level strategy but also execute at a detailed level.
The role is posted as part time 20Hrs a week with the intention for it become a full time role.
Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Go-To-Market
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, events, and sales to build comprehensive marketing calendar and strategy
Translate company revenue goals into clear marketing KPI’s and measurable outcomes
Guide consistent brand storytelling across DTC Ecommerce, Wholesale, Events & Pop-Ups
Manage the marketing budget with CEO & Finance
Digital Performance Marketing
Oversee digital marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, and all content creation
Implement and manage Ambassador, Influencer & Athlete program
Manage customer insights & behavior through Shopify, Klaviyo and GA4
Own paid and owned channel performance, setting ROAS and CAC/LTV targets making recommendations on budget & spend
Responsible for outward facing brand copy on site and in all communications
Present monthly performance insights, recommendations and ability to adjust
Ecommerce
Establish the Curious Creatures online store as best in class, delivering results in conversion & revenue
Own the ecommerce roadmap and customer experience
Plan and manage the site calendar including launches, holidays, campaigns, and seasonal turnover
Monitor & report on site performance, user behavior, and key ecommerce KPI’s, adjusting tactics as necessary
Own and manage all areas of the site including PDPs, collection pages, homepage, navigation, sitelinks, blog posts, and customer experience landing pages
Ensure site quality, accuracy, and consistency across all pages
Manage blog content, structure, and publishing
Ensure technical SEO best practices are implemented across the site
Brand & Creative
Work with founder & CEO to build and integrate Curious Creatures product & storytelling campaigns
Work with founder & CEO on photoshoots (both studio & lifestyle) to ensure partners execute on CC visual identity, tone & vibe
Work with PR lead on partnerships, activations and collaborations
Events
Work closely with Event Specialist on in person activations and building community
Create plan for unique Curious Creatures events, rides, and collaborations
Ability to attend select events in person to support and engage with customers
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of experience in marketing or ecommerce roles; experience in outdoor, bike, lifestyle or consumer goods preferred (DTC a plus)
Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, G4, Meta ads suite & full funnel digital strategy
Ability to both set strategy and execute day to day tasks independently
Analytical mindset with comfort reporting on performance and user behavior
Experience with athlete or team organization a plus
Experience executing seasonal campaigns
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
