At Altais, we support one another, adapt quickly, and work with integrity as we build a better experience for physicians and their patients.The Director of Accounting leads the Altais accounting function and is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company’s financial close and reporting processes. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across all accounting activities for Altais entities and ensures compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies. The Director partners closely with the AVP, Enterprise Controller and senior leadership to support business decisions, scalability, and financial stewardship.**You will focus on:*** Provide overall leadership and direction for the accounting function, including general ledger, monthly close, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and budget variance analysis across all AHS entities* Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness* Establish and maintain a scalable chart of accounts structure and ensure integrity of the general ledger and financial statements* Serve as the final authority on accounting treatment, transaction classification, and booking decisions* Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies* Partner with the AVP, Finance on annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processesy* Design, implement, and oversee strong internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance, and mitigate risk, including fraud prevention* Support audits and external reviews, acting as a primary point of contact as needed* Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and other business leaders to support organizational goals* Drive process improvements and efficiencies to support growth and evolving business needs**The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring*** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field of study* 10+ years professional experience working in Accounting role requiring use and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)* Demonstrated growth and success in comparable role* Management experience strongly preferred* Preferred: CPA or advanced degree preferred but not required* Preferred: Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred, ideally within an IPA or Medical Group environmentThe Base Salary for this position is **$154,400 - $185,400/yr**In addition, we provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.* Excellent medical, vision, and dental coverage* 401k savings plan with a company match* Flexible time off and 9 Paid Holidays**You Share Our Mission & Values:****Compassion**We act with empathy and a deep respect for the challenges faced by physicians and their patients.
