
Director of Procurement
Privately held manufacturer has a permanent opportunity for a Procurement Director. The company has been in existence for 50+ years, growing, expanding facilities with large, well-recognized long-term customers. Position leads the procurement/sourcing function, oversees a team, works along with the executive team and will be responsible for strategic input, process and systems enhancements.
Salary: Approximately $140,000 - $185,000 + Bonus – Based on Experience

Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Director:
- Own the procurement/sourcing function, overseeing a team
- Work cross functionally with internal teams, leadership, vendors and customers
- Lead process and system improvement initiatives
- (MRP optimization), commodity sourcing (sugar, cocoa, coffee, creamer, whey, packaging)
- Lead the sourcing, scheduling, and planning with vendors for materials
- Optimize inventory turns and reduce working capital
- Evaluate, refine and implement processes with procurement and operations to increase efficiencies in production and forecasting accuracy
- Maximize cost savings and inventory reliability
- Lead the process to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers
- Negotiate contracts to maximize favorable pricing and terms
Qualifications for the Procurement Director:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Extensive procurement, sourcing, contracts, vendor management experience
- Hands-on leadership experience
- Experience in a manufacturing / production environment
- Strong systems and process improvements experience
- Data Visualization tools, Power BI a plus
