Job Description Pathstone’s Atlanta office is seeking an

Associate Director, Sage / Partnership Accounting

to join our expanding Personal CFO Services team. This is a senior, hands-on accounting role responsible for overseeing complex partnership, trust, and entity accounting for ultra-high-net-worth families.

The Associate Director brings deep technical expertise in partnership accounting and Sage Intacct, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of financial records across sophisticated family office structures. This role requires strong judgment, ownership, and the ability to lead complex accounting workstreams in a dynamic, high-expectations environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee partnership, trust, and complex entity accounting for ultra-high-net-worth family structures.

Serve as a subject-matter expert for Sage Intacct, including chart of accounts design, dimensional accounting, and reporting.

Lead and support Sage implementations, conversions, and onboarding for new and transitioning clients.

Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, allocations, and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.

Maintain capital accounts, including partner allocations, contributions, distributions, and equity tracking.

Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.

Attend and present in client meetings as needed, particularly for accounting structure, reporting, and system-related topics.

Identify accounting issues, risks, or inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.

Act as an escalation point for complex accounting matters.

Support the development and adherence to standardized accounting practices and controls.

Qualifications Required :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.

8–12+ years of experience in partnership accounting, family office, public accounting, fund administration, or complex entity accounting.

Deep technical knowledge of partnership accounting, general ledger management, and financial reporting.

Hands‑on experience with Sage Intacct or similar enterprise accounting systems.

Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams and meet deadlines independently.

Preferred :

Experience supporting ultra-high-net-worth families and multi-entity structures.

Experience with accounting system implementations or large-scale data transitions.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
