Kansas City, MO. Rose Brooks Center, a nonprofit domestic violence agency, is currently seeking a full-time Director of Operations.

This position provides leadership and guidance to program operations with a primary focus on performance and quality improvement, staff training and orientation, grant administration, and interim leadership personnel supervision. The position oversees program evaluation and monitoring to ensure program operations are consistent with Rose Brooks Center’s principles of trauma informed care, accessibility and diversity and inclusion. The Director of Operations leads performance and quality improvement processes, accreditation, and provides recommendations to the COO and CEO for quality improvement activities and training. The Director of Operations provides personnel supervision to the Performance and Quality Improvement Manager, Advocacy and Education Manager, and the direct reports of vacant program director positions.

Other aspects of the position:

Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with agency policies and procedures, while demonstrating proficiency in all RBC competencies and utilizing the principles of trauma informed care, and accessibility; demonstrates a commitment to the overall mission of Rose Brooks Center.

Attend scheduled staff, team and supervision meetings.

Participate in all required trainings.

Qualifications: Required Education, Experience and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in human/social services and/or related field and/or commensurate combination of education and experience

5+ years of director level program and team management experience to include employee relations, training and orientation experience, and day-to-day operations management.

Experience coordinating performance and quality improvement activities

Expertise and experience providing training and consultation related to domestic violence dynamics and trauma informed care

Experience in grant development, administration, and reporting

Program development and project management experience

Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and facilitating multidisciplinary team meetings

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Able to multi-task and prioritize

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, database systems and other software.

Provide a valid driver’s license and car insurance with an ability to meet Rose Brooks Center’s driving requirements for the job position

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

Master’s degree in social work or related field

Knowledge of relevant community resources

Bilingual Spanish and English, both verbal and written

Hours: This position is a full-time, exempt position and requires the ability to work full-time (average of 40-hours per week). Participates in on-call rotation one week/weekend approximately every ten weeks.

Compensation: This position falls into a salary range starting at 70,000 annually (exempt).
