As IMID Associate Director/Director, you will lead and develop the new immune-mediated inflammatory disease (IMID) animal model product portfolio at IMID China and validate their routine use for clients in China and elsewhere.·
As IMID Associate Director/Director, you will use the most up-to-date human clinical therapies (e.g., Standard of Care [SOC]) as positive controls in the validation and routine performance of IMID rodent models.·
As IMID Associate Director/Director, you will be responsible for the management, mentorship, and teamship of all IMID study directors accountable for the design and execution of IMID-related studies (agreed upon in collaboration with our external biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, and academic clients).·
You must be able to construct, develop and maintain an annual IMID-China budget for your group.·
You will be responsible for establishing working partnerships with sales and marketing teams and be closely involved in scientific engagement with external clients.·
As IMID Associate Director/Director, you will provide scientific and technical training for group members and resolve scientific questions and other issues to meet client satisfaction.·
Complete other assignments promptly from upper management.·
Lead and promote the China site’s various Inflammation and Immunology topics and themes.·
Be a strong company proponent (“cheerleader”) for IMID-related activities and business-related themes. **SKILL REQUIREMENTS/SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES** ·
Experience with developing protein-based or small molecule therapeutics for IMID-related diseases.·
Experience working with Chinese, US, and European regulatory agencies.·
Experience with leading internal and external IMID scientific collaborations.·
Experience with selecting IMID consultants and KOLs. ·
Have excellent communication and writing skills.·
Prior practical experience developing skin, bone, and joint inflammation animal models for establishing a Center of Excellence (COE) in China.·
Practical experience in Imaging techniques for RA/OA models.·
PET/CT scanning experience would be a plus.·
R&D experience in proinflammatory disease drug discovery especially using anti-cytokines or cytokine biology.·
Knowledgeable in current Immunology trends, especially anti-cytokine therapeutics.**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**·
Ph. D. in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Pharmacology, Immunology, Inflammation, Autoimmune disease, Immuno-oncology, or any other life science discipline.·
Experience in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Pharmacology, Immunology, Inflammation, Autoimmune disease, Immuno-oncology, or any other life science discipline with at least 3 to 5 years of preclinical CRO experience or Biopharmaceutical/Pharmaceutical experience.·
Industrial or Academic experience in IMID animal model development is a must.**SKILL REQUIREMENTS**·
Knowledge and research experience in biology, molecular biology, pharmacology, or immunology.·
Ability to follow the latest progress in Inflammation and Autoimmune Disease field and independently design experiments for target validation.·
Ability to work independently and communicate with clients under minimal supervision.·
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal and collaborative mindset, troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication and presentation skills.·
Good at routinely reviewing the scientific literature and being able to proactively and creatively resolve different IMID science challenges.·
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and goal-oriented.·
Able to work in a fast pace environment and meet deadlines.·
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote) and GraphPad Prizm.·
