Summary

The Donor Relations Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the fundraising efforts of Hospice Savannah Foundation. This position is responsible for donor communications, donation processing, and ensuring accurate database reporting. The coordinator will also oversee the management of brick and leaf tributes, assist with sponsor solicitation, maintain vendor relationships, and provide support during events. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, donor-centered, data-savvy, and passionate about supporting compassionate, community-based hospice care.

Proficiency with donor database systems. Experience developing and executing integrated fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, digital, and social media strategies. Knowledge of donor stewardship best practices and fundraising analytics. Familiarity with hospice, healthcare, or human services organizations. Donor-centered mindset with strong relationship-building skills. Strong organizational and project management capabilities. Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative. Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer or performing desk-based tasks. The employee must be able to operate standard office equipment, including a computer, phone, copier, and postage machine. Occasional movement throughout the office is required to retrieve files, prepare mailings, and coordinate with team members.

This role may require occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds for handling printed materials, event supplies, or tribute items. The employee must be able to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and in writing. Some local travel may be required for events or donor engagement activities.

This role operates primarily in a professional office setting with standard office noise levels. Work involves frequent computer use, telephone communication, and interaction with donors, colleagues, and community members. The position may also involve occasional work at off-site locations for fundraising events, community engagements, or tribute installations. Certain tasks-such as handling tribute plaques or setting up event materials-may occur outdoors or in non-office environments.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time, non-exempt position. The expected schedule for this role is 16 to 20 hours per week, during normal business hours, with occasional evening or weekend event support. Actual hours may vary based on operational needs.
