Job Description

Shift: Day Pay Rate: $25.00

Position Summary: • Responsible for executing the planner workbenches, this includes the Shipping WB, the Routing WB and the Production WBs. Work with Production management to develop and maintain a daily and weekly production schedule. Apply knowledge of demand management, capacity planning, scheduling, and process improvement in support of the company's strategic objectives. Implement a strategy that effectively analyzes, communicates, and executes the short, medium- and long-term production scheduling objectives to meet on-time delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Coordinate production activities and distribution of products. Manage the movement of goods into and out of production facilities using inventory control procedures. • Interact with multiple departments to include Customer Service, Procurement, Engineering and Production management to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints. • Assist with determining staffing requirements and help develop staffing plan. Preparing work schedules and helping assign specific duties. Conduct or attend staff meetings. • Help coordinate production activities and scheduling to increase efficiency. • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Practice personal safety and follow all safety practices and procedures. Comply with all policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to management. • Perform other duties as assigned, which will include Logistics, Material Handling

Qualifications

Education: • High school diploma or equivalent • One to three years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements: Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods • Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems • Experience working in a team environment Requires attention to detail and being thorough in completing work tasks Ability to define problems; collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors
