
Polisher Position
We are looking for a Polisher for our Wixom, MI facility. The Metal Finisher, under the direction of the Production Manager, will provide first class metal finishing to die sections and die casting tools, prior to PVD treatment according to the Oerlikon Blazers standards. This position will have significant responsibility for ensuring the overall quality control of production services provided for Forming Tools through rigorous quality checks pre and post treatment. The Metal Finisher will perform special projects as directed. Your Responsibilities: Responsible for metal finishing /polishing of stamping forming die steels and die casting tools. Performs metallurgical checks of tooling including Spectro, hardness checks, and heat treatment determination of tools. Completes quality control documentation for customers as required. Maintains the measurement devices. Provides additional support to the Production Manager and customers as required. Your Profile: Commits to corporate core values, goals, mission, and vision. High School graduate or GED or equivalent experience. Must be comfortable working with hands and be able to lift 40lbs. Individual must have strong work ethic, be high-energy, and detail oriented. 1-2 years of related experience is preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills. A positive attitude.
